Steel billet export requirements
For steel billet exports, identify 3SP, 4SP or 5SP grade and the required chemical composition, square section, length, quantity and material certification. The destination and loading basis affect the commercial quotation.
A grade name alone is not an adequate substitute for the buyer's rolling mill specification.
Rebar export grades and certificates
For reinforcing steel bars, declare the applicable grade and standard, diameter, length, mechanical properties, expected bundle weight and inspection requirements.
Different countries can apply different accepted standards. The actual specification and test certificates must be agreed for the transaction.
Steel plate and slab exports
Steel plate or sheet enquiries need grade, thickness, dimensions and surface condition. Steel slab enquiries require thickness, width, length, chemistry and downstream rolling requirements.
Packaging, loading and protection against moisture should reflect the shipment method and material.
Documents, inspection and Incoterms
Depending on the transaction, an invoice, packing list, material certificates, inspection evidence, origin documentation and shipping records may be required. The exporting and importing parties must verify current customs, sanctions and destination-country rules.
EXW, FCA, FOB and CIF have different responsibility and risk allocations. Use the applicable Incoterms edition and a named delivery point in a written agreement.
